Drawing from memory is a challenge in itself...
I, however, am not an artist, yet there remains some memories which do not rests unless you brought it on the paper....
MaternalGrandfather's house, has always been my favorite holiday destination...
I just tried to draw less than half portion of a huge house that once was my center of all the imaginations and adventures..
It is the entrance which holds a great deal of significance in the sense that this is the first place where I used to feel free from all the shackles of my parents because I was in a different universe where I was the ruler of ALL; at the same time was the saddest of all when the vacation used to come to an end....

They are no more..

The house is no more, it has been modified by the new residents....

...but the memories of it can never fade...

The Perception

Always depends on which side you are on.

Those who made you feel that efforts don't matter,

Love yourself enough to walk away from everything that makes you feel shatter. 

Those who are worth, no matter how, will stay,

Watch their actions and not just what they say.

Many have been a jerk to me as I have been to many,

So do not hate your ownself, it's not worth a penny.

Life is a mirror you get what you give,

"Keep smiling and the world will smile back", should be the only riff.

To find peace one needs to observe and not just see,

Sooner or later it will come, because it's meant to be.||

Balcony

|| Let me tell you a secret which is uncanny,
Everything has been witnessed by this balcony.

My wailing cry, my victory dances,
My serious face, all of my stupid stances.

Once the balcony door is closed behind me,
The world seemed to let me be.

Whether it's the darkest of nights or a beautiful dawn,
From being a loner to having company to bank on.

Every second among this flowery abode is special as one can be,
Nothing has changed since the last 6 years, I'm afraid that it's only me....||

শুভ নববর্ষ (১৪২৫)

|| সকাল সকাল উঠে স্নান এর তাড়াহুড়ো,

নতুন জামা পরে, কাঁধে নিয়ে, মা এর খালি ব্যাগ,

ঘরে ঘরে গিয়ে বড় দের প্রণাম সেরে ফেলা,

সে যে পয়লা বৈশাখের সকাল ছিল এক |

প্রণাম শেষে টাকা নিয়ে ট্যাঁকে করে ফিরে,

সবে মিলে গোনা শুরু কার কত আমদানি,

সেই মতো তো চিন্তা করে নতুন জিনিস কিনতে হবে,

সে তো সবাই জানি |

বাবার হাত ধরে সন্ধেবেলায়ে, সেই হালখাতা করতে যাওয়া,

আর মিষ্টির প্যাকেট অনেক গুলো করে,

নববষর্ষের টাকা দিয়ে তবে কিনতে ভুলিনি,

হাতে করে আমার  নতুন টিফিন বাক্স, নিয়ে এসেছি ধরে | ||

** নতুন বছর খুব ভালো কাটুক সবার **

কালবৈশাখী

|| মনে আসে সেই বৈশাখের প্রথম ঝড়,
তবু ভাই বোনের সাথে বিকেলের খেলা, নাইকো তাতে নড়চড়।

জ্যৈষ্ঠের কালবৈশাখীতে সারা রাত মেঘের ডাক,
সকাল হতে না হতেই দৌড়ে গিয়ে আম কুড়োনোর ঝাঁক।

গরমের হাসফাঁসের থেকে সেই ক্ষনিকের শান্তি,
সেই অনবরত কাগজের নৌকো ভাসানো, নেই যে তাতে ক্লান্তি।

ছোটবেলার লাফালাফি আর রবি ঠাকুরের ছন্দ,
সময়ের চাকা ঘুরে গেছে, রেখে দিয়ে শুধু মাটির সোঁদা গন্ধ। ||
