Imagination is the closest companion..
Being alone might be an option at times and compulsion in the other but being lonely is a choice..
I believe that one can never be lonely, if an active imaginative mind exists....
A world beyond the tangible surfaces.
...Beyond the written and unwritten rules.
...Beyond the superficiality of the "suppose to be's".
...A place where the world exists the way one wants it to be.
I have a pro active imagination to say the least, which at times have gotten me into trouble to be honest(this includes burning and breaking things including body parts) but most of the times I enjoy it.....
I could be doing the most mundane of daily tasks yet can be standing at a cliff in Dublin soaking in the view of crashing waves.
....or just having a gossip session with my mother with a hot cup of tea (you tend to miss the little things when you are not at home)....
Right now I am sitting on a sandy beach accompanied by the beautiful sunset and the sound of waves, refreshing me by the seconds....Blank papers and a pencil in hand, I think I have been trying to write my feelings but failing miserably, enticed by the surrounding..
It doesn't have to be hypothetical always; it can be an event you are looking forward to and playing in all the scenarios of how you are going to be in it.....
Be it a long pending plan or how to make a grand entrance to a friend's wedding, the content is irrelevant, as long as you are in your happy place mentally ....
......till you can be there physically.....
We are a generation where we exhaust our mind more than our body so relax it by going places where it relaxes the most........
....Even if not physically at that very moment, be there mentally .....Just for the time being......
